Branding Your Event Space

Raleigh Letters Slideshow.jpgEnhance visibility and engagement with signage and branding opportunities in your licensed space at the Raleigh Convention Center. Our team provides expert guidance on specifications, placement, and scheduling to ensure seamless execution and maximum visibility.  

Branding your event space with your event brand, products, sponsors and advertisers, or themed décor all require approval from the Raleigh Convention Center and must be within your licensed event space and displayed only during licensed event dates/hours. 

 

Advanced coordination with your Event Manager/Coordinator is required to ensure compliance with facility requirements, review other events in the facility, ingress and egress, and security and safety. 

  • Event-Specific Themed Décor and Signage such as directional information, agenda, and transportation details, may be placed within licensed space with no fee. Signage and locations must be approved by your Raleigh Convention Center Event Manager/Coordinator.
  • Additional Branding on interior and exterior assets are available with fees. Please see below listing. Usage requires Raleigh Convention Center Director approval and coordination with your Event Manager/Coordinator. 

The following page includes photos, measurements, and descriptions of available branding locations. All measurements are approximate. Please contact your Event Manager/Coordinator no less than 30 days prior to your event for further details or to schedule a walkthrough for additional measurements.

 

NOTICE: All measurements shown here are approximate. Please check the measurements on site before ordering materials. Raleigh Convention Center is not responsible for ensuring the fit or quality of event signage and branding materials.

Guidelines: 

  • Signage and branding may only be placed in your licensed space, during your licensed time. Install and removal must occur within licensed dates and times.
  • Artwork and items must be approved by Raleigh Convention Center Event Management. Prohibited items and designs include alcohol, tobacco products, firearms, gambling products and materials, political and policy issues, candidates, campaigns, profanity, obscenity, and hate speech, sexually oriented products and materials, illegal products and materials.  Raleigh Convention Center retains the right to request removal of any items deemed inappropriate.
  • Interior branding opportunities are available for use by the licensing organization or for resale to advertise event sponsors, pending Event Manager approval. Licensing organizations are responsible for ensuring all event sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and staff follow all venue rules. Use of additional event or branding space beyond the original license will incur rental use fees.
  • Exterior branding opportunities are only available for use by the licensing organization and may not be resold to sponsors nor advertisers. Exterior branding is limited to event name, dates, logos and event theming.

Building Interior 

Interior branding opportunities are available for use by the licensing organization or for resale to advertise event sponsors, pending Event Manager/Coordiantor approval. Licensing organizations are responsible for ensuring all event sponsors, exhibitors, vendors, and staff follow all venue rules. Use of additional event or branding space beyond the original license will incur rental use fees.

 

Interior assets for additional branding at cost include vitrine glass display cases, North Hallway LED screen, Complex Brew featured drink menu.  Asset usage requires Raleigh Convention Center Director approval and coordiantion with your Event Manager/Coordinator. 

 

 

Main Lobby

Main Lobby Facing Registration

If you are planning to hang a banner off the balcony, you must discuss the details with your Event Manager/Coordinator in advance of your event. Weight and length must be taken into consideration. 

Top of balcony to floor is 20 ft.

 

Overhead Walkway to Outdoor Patio

14 glass panels each 40" high by 47.5" wide. Wooden base 37" high by 55'7 wide.

Grand Staircase to Ballroom Level

Top step is 231" wide. Steps are approx. 5.5-6" tall, 12" deep.

Please contact your Event Manager/Coordinator for measurements of individual stairs.

The Raleigh Convention Center has 10 interior digital boards in lobby spaces that rotate through facility information and event signage.  

Digital Screen must be within licensed space, per executed licensed agreement, to be used during your event.  Requests for other screens not within licensed space must receive Director approval.

Floor Clings

Floor cling decals may be created and applied to the floor for event messaging, offering directional signage or event branding. 
Raleigh Convention Center recommends the use of 3M materials to adhere graphics to facility surfaces. However, the improper removal of such adhesive materials may result in damage. Show Management will be billed for any costs incurred due to the removal of adhesives from carpets, floors, and any other surfaces.

Exterior branding opportunities are only available for use by the licensing organization and may not be resold to sponsors nor advertisers. Exterior banding is limited to event name, dates, logos and event theming.

 

Exterior assets for additional branding at cost include the Shimmer Wall, Sir Walter Raleigh statue, and exterior digital screen. Asset usage requires Raleigh Convention Center Director approval and coordiantion with your Event Manager/Coordinator. 

Main Lobby Doors

Branding materials on the main lobby doors must provide visibility through to the other side, cannot cover the entire door or any existing signage.

Add items to showcase your event brand, products, or themed décor. Requires Event Manager/Coordinator approval of items. Case must be within licensed space. Install, usage, and removal all must occur within licensed dates/times.

$500 for event duration

Advertising placement is also available for event sponsors, speakers, products, etc. Requires RCC Director and event show management approval.

Featured Drinks Menu at Complex Brew Coffee Shop

Featured digital menu screen display with your logo for up to 3 custom named beverages to match your event theme (2 coffees and 1 non-coffee beverage). Includes social media post to announce menu at upcoming event and 10 complimentary coffee tokens to distribute.

Requires RCC Director of Sales and event show management approval.

$1,000 per event duration

Exterior Assets for Additional Branding

Exterior assets for additional branding incurr cost.

Asset usage requires Raleigh Convention Center Director approval and coordiantion with your Event Manager/Coordinator no less than 30 days prior to your event. Applicable fees will be included on your Event Estimate.

Exterior Digital Screen

All licensed events agreeing to public listing will receive complimentary event exposure for one week before the event and during the event. Event exclusivity is not available.

 

Complimentary graphic will feature the event’s name, dates, and logo.  Instead, licensed events may design own custom graphic at a flat fee per slide. Graphic must list the event’s name and dates and be approved by RCC Marketing.  

$400.00 per slide for custom graphic

 

Licensed events can be further promoted pre-event, for a monthly rate. Requests are on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

$800 per month for event promotion

The Shimmer Wall

Art installation from Raleigh-based artist Thomas Sayre, of approximately 80,000 four-inch aluminum panels that together depict an oak tree that shimmers in the breeze. Custom LED lights provide a welcoming event-branded glow on this iconic piece of the Raleigh skyline. Shimmer Wall must be within licensed space, color programming only available during event dates/times.

Rental Usage Fee may apply

$200 fee per color

Sir Walter Raleigh Statue

Dress statue on the RCC Plaza in event-related clothing items and/or accessories. Requires Event Manager/Coordinator approval of items. Statue must be within licensed space. Install, usage, and removal all must occur within licensed dates/times.

Rental Usage Fee may apply.

$200 flat fee
